Prof. Dr. Ani Idris, is currently a Professor in the Department of Bioprocess Engineering and fellow in Institute of Bioproduct, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She obtained her first degree in Chemical Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1988 and Masters the following year from University College London, UK. She obtained her Phd in Bioprocess Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and her research areas are: 1) Membrane technology involves: making of reverse osmosis, dialysis and ultrafiltration membranes; 2) Bioprocessing; Converting agricultural waste to higher value added products 3) Microalgae cultivation and bioprocessing into biodiesel (She has published many papers relating to her research area, obtained over 1621 citations, H- index 21 and has 5 patents granted.

She was involved with many research projects and has manage to obtain several research grants. Amongst some of the grants obtained are as follows:
1.     PRGS project “Compact, lightweight and high performance membrane system for safe drinking water worth RM 300,00 (2016 -2015)
2.     Commercialization of the HFHR Membranes RM 800,600. (this project is a spin-off company) Additional funds obtained RM 150,000 which brings to RM 950,000 (2013-2014).
3.     Production of HFFR membranes            RM 150,000 2(2010-2012)
4.     Production of Bio plastic; Polylactic Acid (PLLA) from Cellulosic Empty Fruit Bunches RM 900,000
5.     Production of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) from Oleaginous thraustochytrid microalga using the novel nano farming technology RM 90,000 (2012-2014)
6.     Microwave assisted lipase catalyzed synthesis of functionalized PCL Poly(caprolactones) (PCL) and Poly(macrolactones)RM 117,000( 2010-2012)
7.     Immobilization Of Candida Antartica Lipase B In Nanopolystyrene For Polyl L- Lactide Acid (Plla) Synthesis By Ring Opening Polymerization Process. RM 77,000 (2008-2010)
8.     Synthesis of reactive membranes based  on magnetic nanoparticles and bacteria for biologic depollution RM 96,000
9.     Development of reactive membranes based on nanoparticles for water treatment RM 300,000 (2007-2009)

Ir Dr Wan Zahran Zakaria is a professional engineer and has twenty five years of experience in design, monitoring and oversee engineering projects. He is the founder and CEO of WANZA consulting engineers Sdn Bhd an established engineering firm in Malaysia. He also sit as a member of board of director in a number of company including Addenni Sdn Bhd, Enrich Consultative management Sdn Bhd and Luna Prestij Sdn Bhd. Ir Dr Wan Zahran Zakaria graduated in Bachelor of Engineering from University of Adelaide   and started his career as an engineer in several engineering consulting firms. Eight years later he started his own practice and has involved in various highway, high rise buildings, housing schemes, water supply, flood mitigation and other infrastructure works projects.  WANZA consulting engineers Sdn Bhd (formerly known as WCE consulting engineers Sdn Bhd) was the main consultant to the prestigious RM1 billion Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) Highways in Johor Bharu and has received an Excellent Award from Construction Industry Development Board recognising its work in contributing to successful completion of the project.

Ir Dr Wan Zahran Zakaria also involves in international projects like Almaty-Kapchagay highway and Kapchagay airport in Kazakstan. He is also the chairperson leading a group of various disciplines professional in preparing engineering planning and project business proposal for port and tank farms in Qehsm Island Iran. Addenni Sdn Bhd is a G7 construction company and Enrich Consultative Management Sdn Bhd is a project management consulting company.

Being leading an organisation, Ir Dr Wan Zahran Zakaria has an interest in management which drove him to pursue further his study in management and subsequently obtained his Engineering Doctorate in IT and Construction Management from University of Technology Malaysia.  He has published several international papers and co-author of the book “Executive Information System for Monitoring Progress of Building Construction Work” and “Communication within Construction Organisation”.

Ir Dr Wan Zahran Zakaria work in academic continue with his involvement in Luna Prestij Research Sdn Bhd, an international ‘Research and Development’ company. The main involvement of the company is in R&D, academic publications, advance computing, and Training as well as professional consultancy. Luna Prestij Research Sdn Bhd brings together renowned academicians, scientists, researchers, professionals and scholars from all over the world to contribute, share and knowledge transfer their research and experiences. Most of the endeavors are in collaboration with well-known Research Universities of the world.

Assoc. Prof. Kamariah Ismail is appointed as a Director in UTM Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (UTMTEC) since 2013. Since then she has chaired several university level committee among them are Public Private Research Network (PPRN); UTM Wealth Creation Lab 2015; UTM Apps Development bootcamp; UTM Wealth creation lab module development; Speaker, and Trainer; Develop Design Thinking and Prototyping Module for UTM Entrepreneurship course; Express UI Technopreneurship Module for UTMPost graduate student; and UTM-Wadwani Foundation. She earned her PhD in Commercialization of University patents from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK in 2007. She served in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 1985 on different key posts at faculty and university level. She was also honored with different recognition awards from the state government of Malaysia for her services among them are Best Mentor Award Category, Innovative Teaching and Learning, Best Paper Award, The Best Award for National Management of intellectual Property (IP) and UTM service award 2010. Her expertise are in commercialization of technologies, innovation, technopreneurship, entrepreneurship, SMEs and franchising. She has participated in different conferences as key note speaker at local and international level. Furthermore, she had been an adviser and panel reviewer of renowned journals.  She has taught several courses and has supervised and co – supervised more than 30 postgraduate students at the masters’ and PhD levels. Assoc. Prof. Kamariah Ismail is a distinguished researcher with 30 publications in ISI/Scopus and more than 100 publications in conference and other international journals. She has attended many conferences both local and international and presented papers and posters. She also has authored 5 books with 9 book chapters. Assoc. Prof. Kamariah Ismail has organized scientific conferences and workshops at various times.

Prof. Dr. Amran bin Md. Rasli is one of the prominent faces of Universiti Teknologi Maalaysia. Currently he is working as a Director of Innovation and Commercialization Center in UTM. He served in different renounced institutions in his carrier both in industry and academia. While serving in UTM he performed his duties on different academic and administrative posts since 1992 at faculty and university level. He earned his doctoral degree in “Society, Business & Globalisation” from Roskilde University, Denmark and did his MBA from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Missouri. He has various professional qualification and memberships. He also performed his duties as Advisory Member & Board of Trustees to the Asia Pacific Business, Innovation and Technology Management Society from Jan 1, 2012-Dec 31, 2015. He has over 100 publication in different journals, 65 conference proceedings and wrote various book chapters and supervised more than 30 students for doctoral degree. The total impact factor of his research is more than 20 with H-index 13. He received recognition awards from different countries for his work at national and international level. He has also conducted different conferences in Malaysia. His areas of interest and expertise are Commercialization, Intellectual property, Technology Management, Marketing, Transmigration and Urbanization Studies, Human Resource Management and Psychological Studies.
