The ‘Hands-On Econometrics Workshop Using Stata’ was held on 17 February 2020, Monday, 9.30am to 5.00pm at Capacity Building Hub, Level 12, Menara Razak, UTM Kuala Lumpur. Two speakers from AHIBS Alumni had been invited to deliver the course; Ms. Nor Faezah Ghazi Ahmad and Ms. Sarah Athirah Saruchi. The total of 28 participants had joined this program.
This program was organized by Postgraduate Students Society, Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), UTM Kuala Lumpur.
The ‘Hands-On Econometrics Workshop Using Stata’ is one of the structured courses that been frequently demanded by Postgraduate students to enrich their knowledge on various effective research methods for academic requirements and publications. Hence, this workshop focuses on teaching the empirical research methods by using a powerful statistical method, Stata.
The course structure consists of 90% hands-on and 10% theoretical approach. The modules cover on the basic application of Stata, data entry, useful commands, Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression and Fixed-Random regression.
