The workshop was designed to help students have a better understanding on the use of qualitative research methodology. Students were taken through the various data collection methods and data transcriptions as well as coding using computer software such as NVivo. The registration for this seminar was open for a period of one week and there were positive answers from students.
In some few days preceding the seminar, the online registration had an appropriate number of 140 registered participants. Publicity was given to the seminar through numerous media platforms that are reachable to students. A total of over 117 participants watched the program live on WebEx on the day of the program. The motivation to organize the workshop was based on the sizable number of 140 students who registered on the online google form created for the event. The time for the workshop was 03 hours, which was adequate for the event.
The speaker was so fluent and gave a pleasing delivery on the occasion. She answered all questions that were posed to her with zeal to the appreciation of participants. Students expressed happiness about having been inspired and invigorated by the workshop. They also expressed the view that the workshop was useful and insightful and that they have gained greatly from the topic. The rating of the workshop was high with encouraging remarks with most of the participants scoring high marks.
