Strategic Research Publications

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is a dramatic change in the lives of postgraduate students. The universities have closed, research and experimental work have been postponed, and the usual research activities are also limited. Living in these circumstances can be difficult for postgraduate students to achieve their research progress.

This SPS PGSS Structured Course is a collection of information, and  resources that can help postgraduate students navigate their research in these challenging times and inspire them to become productive especially in publication, at the same time dealing with the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Publishing papers during postgraduate studies will be a great experience student would not want to miss. It offers on the other hand, such as improving writing skills or communicating research. In response, PGSS MJIIT introduced Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud El-Sayed Nasef of MJIIT as part of an insightful and encouraging discussion on strategic research publication.

The topic has attracted over 125 participants during the live session via WEBEX platform. The PGSS structured course for postgraduate students was coordinated by PGSS MJIIT and fully funded by SPS UTM. The course was conducted with the aim of sharing ideas and tips on writing research papers. The course inspires and motivates postgraduate students to be proactive in writing, which is also a prerequisite for their studies.

The speaker provided guidance on how to structure the manuscript layout and advice on how to find the best journal platform. Encouraging comments reflect the success of this course. Participants presented their comments and feedback to value the experience and knowledge they have acquired.

The objective of the course was successfully achieved based on thought and satisfaction from the participants. Thus, again, PGSS MJIIT will continue to provide them with an even more exciting topic to support and inspire them to pursue their studies.
