Real Journey of Postgraduate Study

The aim of this workshop is to share useful tips with new postgraduate students on how to survive the postgraduate study. Besides, this program also gives an insight to dear freshies on how to juggle between study and personal life as some of candidates are still working while pursuing their Master/PhD study. The outcome of this program is to provide full support and motivations to the students, encourage them to give the best in their study and eventually shape them to become an outstanding Master/PhD student as product of UTM. The feedbacks provided by the participants for this event was truly satisfying and all of them are positive comments. This program has successfully gives a significant impact to all participants as they really enjoy the session. Speaker shared his own experiences as a postgraduate student from the very beginning until the end of the study. The audience was truly amazed with his strong determination in completing his PhD in Imperial College London, UK, despite the unforeseen obstacles encountered during his study. Furthermore, speaker also shared his personal statistics of the main goal for postgraduate students pursuing their postgraduate study. The outcome shows more than 50% of the graduates pursued their PhD study for the sake of chasing the “Dr.” title. It was mind blowing and interesting “bitter” truth to be shared with the new postgraduate students.
