On 30th March 2021, PGSS SKM-SKBSK in collaboration with SPS UTM were pleased to conduct a structured course for session 2020/2021 that is “Postgraduate Life Journey” via online platform. This course aimed to give an insight to the participants from various backgrounds on the journey as a postgraduate. It was an honor to have Dr Amir Putra bin Md Saad, a senior lecturer of School of Mechanical Engineering with us to share his valuable experiences.
In further details, this course was promoted online a week before the event and managed to secure 34 participants in total to join through online Cisco Webex. Based on the participants’ feedback, almost all of them are satisfied with the sharing by Dr Amir. The participants believed that the course be motivational and informative with good experiences sharing. The session was not only based on slides, but it involved two ways of communication and learning. The interaction between the speaker and participants was lively. With the help of the moderator, all participants got the chance to participate in the Q&A session throughout the program.
Overall, “Postgraduate Life Journey” course received excellent ratings from the participants with many positive comments. Participants suggested and wished this kind of courses to be organized in the evening as most of them have a packed schedule in the morning. Therefore, the organizer has taken note of this comment and hope for improvement in the next courses.
