14th April, Johor Bahru – The fourth postgraduate structured course entitled “Branding, Content And Social Media For Business” has been successfully conducted by Postgraduate Student Society of School of Chemical and Energy Engineering (PGSS-SKT), School of Graduate Studies (SPS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 14th April 2022.

The course aimed to empower the targeted audiences with their deep knowledge of entrepreneurship by creating the brand, social media for business purposes and to help our targeted audiences for understanding the benefits of social media for brand building in order to reach their customers, gain valuable insights, and grow their brand development, merger of engineering and business, possible career path, research-industry collaboration. 

The program went for about 2 hours online via Cisco-Webex meeting. There were a total of 37 participants including undergraduates and postgraduate students from UTM as well as from other universities. 

The appointed speaker of the session is Dr. Zuraidah Binti Sulaiman who is keen in consumer decision-making within the digital and social media environment, as well as in green and sustainable consumption. In particular, she probes into the effects of environmental issues, social criteria, and technological aspects on consumers’ purchasing or non-purchasing decisions.

The moderator started the session at 10.00 am by introducing the topic and speaker. The speaker shared the current knowledge of entrepreneurship by creating the brand, social media for business purposes.

Before the session ended at 12.00pm, the speaker had excellently answered and responded to the questions raised by the participants.
