The structured course entitled “For Your Better Citation: Mendeley Workshop” was held on 9th March 2022 from 9.00 a.m to 12.00 p.m. The speaker for this workshop was Ts. ChM. Dr. Nor Suriani Binti Sani. This course has secured encouraging responses from students. Almost 168 participants from both UTM and Non-UTM students have attended this course. The majority of participants were postgraduate students, especially those from Ph.D level. Furthermore, this workshop also received participation from undergraduate students.

This course organized by the Postgraduate Student Society Faculty of Science (PGSS FS) has successfully offered chances for students to learn more about Mendeley software. The speaker, Ts. ChM. Dr. Nor Suriani Binti Sani conducted the workshop efficiently and managed to deliver all the tips and tricks to all participants. This workshop takes place actively where speakers and participants can communicate bilaterally. This is very good as it shows that the participants successfully understood and were able to follow all the steps and messages delivered by the speaker.

The workshop began by instructing participants on how to download Mendeley software. Participants were taught to create their own Mendeley’s account and received a very detailed explanation from the speaker. Generally, basic knowledge of Mendeley is very important for postgraduate students as they need to know the correct method to write a good citation. The speaker received lots of questions from the participants. Overall, the course had achieved the objectives of the organizer since the course gets positive feedback from the participants.
