20 September, Johor Bahru – The Postgraduate Compulsory Course entitled “Managing Thesis: UTM Thesis Template” was successfully conducted by the Postgraduate Student Society, Faculty of Science (PGSS-FS) in collaboration with Faculty Built Environment and Surveying (PGSS-FABU), School of Energy Engineering (PGSS-SCEE) and School of Graduate Studies (SPS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 19th July 2022 (Tuesday).
The objectives of this course are to provide proper guidance to postgraduate students on writing a proper thesis using the latest UTM thesis template and to act as a good platform for students to convey any problems that they may have regarding the UTM thesis template.
There were overall of 305 participants, including undergraduates, postgraduates, UTM staff as well as non-UTM participants. The course took approximately 2 hours duration via an online platform, Cisco-WebEx. The speaker for this course was Dr. Nur Idayu Binti Alimon, former President of PGSS-FS 18/19 and also an UTM Alumni.
The moderator started the session at 10.00 a.m. by introducing the background of the speaker. The speaker delivered her knowledge very well with proper guidance to all postgraduate students on writing a proper thesis using the latest UTM thesis template. Before the session ended at 12.00 p.m., the speaker had excellently answered and responded to the questions raised by the participants.
