The ‘Mixing It Up: Understanding and Employing Mixed Methods and Design in Educational Research’ was held on 18th May 2020, Monday using online platform Cisco Webex Meeting.

The purpose of this course is to provide a deep understanding of the mixed- method study and is presented by Dr Mahyuddin bin Arsat entitled “Mixing it up: Understanding and Employing Mixed Methods Design in Educational Research”. Registration online reaches 180 registered participants to attend but for the actual day the total number of participants was 123.

A lot of new knowledge was learned by the participants and they enjoy the activity session directed by the speaker. The structured course was very informative and participants had wish for the similar courses could be done via offline where they could experience a face-to-face session with the speaker.

Eventhough the courses was conducted online, the speaker made a very good effort in explaining every concept in details. The speaker delivered his lectures in four levels for developing a research study; Paradigm worldview, Theoretical lens, Methodological approach and Methods of data collection.

Overall, this course received positive feedback from all participants and they hope that the organizer will arrange more sessions for the Ph.D. students, especially for the beginners (Semester 1).
