The ‘Introduction to Finate Element Modelling (FEM)’ was held on 22nd December 2020, Sunday at Faculty Meeting Room, Level 2, C24, School of Mechanical Engineering, UTM Johor Bahru.
Prof. Dr. Mohd Nasir bin Tamin from School of Mechanical Engineering had been invited to deliver the course successfully. The total of 23 participants had joined this program.
Finate Element Analysis (FEA) is a numerical method used for the prediction of how a part or assembly behaves under given conditions. It is used as the basis for modern simulation software and helps researchers and engineers to find weak spots, areas of tension, and deformations in their designs. In a nutshell, FEA is the de-facto technology for detailed stress analysis and deformation prediction across almost every engineering field.
This program was organized by Postgraduate Students Society, Schools of Mechanical Engineering and Schools of Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences, UTM Johor Bahru.
