An abstract is the face of a PhD thesis. It is composed of background brief, problem statements and research gaps, research methods, findings, conclusions and implications of the investigation. For a PhD thesis, generally, its length ranges from 450 to 500 words, all in one paragraph. It shall be written in the present tense denoting recency of knowledge generated from the anvil of opposing explanations and ideas. The thesis novelty and comprehensiveness should be spelled clearly in the abstract.\u00a0 Attending this in-class exercise affords you to learn step by step on how to construct a thesis\u00a0abstract. You are requested to prepare your abstract before attending this exercise, and 4-5 of you will illustrate it in the class.
