Presenting research at virtual and face-to-face conferences is of great importance for all the researchers. However, student-researchers have many concerns on how to prepare for the presentations, how to make the slides, how to deal with the Question-and-Answer (Q&A) session and so on. For this reason, the Association of Graduate Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (PGSS FSSH) has organized a structured course entitled \u201cPresenting Research at Virtual and Face-to-Face Conference: Tips and Tricks\u201d on Thursday 20th May 2021. The program was conducted by our PGSS team and led by Miss Syazwina Muhammad Khir, an exco member of PGSS FSSH.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The two-hours structured course was delivered online via Webex. It started at 10.00 am until 12.00 pm and included a Question-and-Answer (Q&A) session between the panel and the participants. In the pre-registration phase, there were more than 191 registrations, but only 111 participants (across the faculty) attended the program until the end. The majority of these participants were PhD students (from semester 1 to 6) compared to Master\u2019s students. At the end of the course, the invited panel Dr Farhana has received positive and constructive feedback from the participants regarding the knowledge sharing session.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n According to the feedback given by the participants, this event was very helpful and beneficial for them in preparing their presentations. The participants also appreciated that the session was very interactive since Dr, Farhana, in the beginning of the session, collected the participants\u2019 problems on research presentations. Moreover, they stated that it was rich with new information and fruitful with sufficient examples and images.<\/span> However, there was one participant asking whether the structured course can be held at night because of the time difference.
