Competition

To cultivate the research activities among UTM Postgraduate students, PGSS organizes competitions such as 3 Minute Thesis. This competition supports the participant’s capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

Besides 3 Minute Thesis, PGSS also organizes Materials Lecture Competition. This national-wide competition is an initiative intended to enhance awareness among young material scientists and engineers in Malaysia on the importance of materials engineering and sustainability in the advancement of technology and humankind.
Both of these activities are organized annually.
