PGSS UTM COMMITTEE
“UTM Postgraduate Student Society is a cornerstone of support and camaraderie within our vibrant postgraduate community. Our committee members are selected through a rigorous process based on their passion, dedication, and leadership qualities.
The Postgraduate Student Society (PGSS) plays a pivotal role in organizing training and support programs for postgraduate students including PG Structured Course, PG Coffee Session, PG Compulsory Course, UTM 3 Minute Thesis, International Graduate Conference on Engineering, Science and Humanities, Research Carnival Month and many more. Their efforts ensure tailored guidance, foster community engagement, and provide essential resources, empowering students to thrive academically and professionally throughout their journey at UTM.
UTM’s Postgraduate Student Society operates on two levels: under faculties and collectively under UTM (consists of all PGSS Faculties Presidents). This dual structure ensures tailored support at the faculty level while fostering a unified community across disciplines.
Joining the committee offers invaluable opportunities for personal and professional growth which includes the development of leadership skills, network expansion, and make a meaningful impact on the postgraduate experience at UTM.

“Being involved actively in both academic and non-academic activities are the most crucial part as a student, but when I got involved, I realized on how much it helps me to enhance my soft skills as well as my time management. I learned on how to handle my stress. The values behind the experience were so priceless which I am sure they will help me to face the challenging career, later.”
“As a result of being a member of PGSS committee, it has prepared me to be actively involved in events and programs. I feel comfortable working in a current institution where time management and ability to handle programs are of the essence, just like what I have been through while I was with PGSS. I managed to do whatever work given with enthusiasm and trust. ”
