Dear All,
Literature Reviews are ESSENTIAL parts of ALL research. Any research should start with a comprehensive review of the literature and this will continue till the end of the study. While the importance of literature reviews for research is well recognized and there are many resources available to assist one in this journey, structured guidelines on the overall process (end to end) of doing literature reviews- specially in an effective and efficient way is limited. This workshop attempts to address this gap by providing some guidelines and examples of conducting a structured literature review.
A well-conducted literature review in an emerging field can have good publication potential – especially when it systematically synthesizes, the status of the work completed and provides a firm Research Agenda for the future of the discipline area.
This workshop is designed to assist you in your literature review journey and discusses a systematic approach to conducting a literature review that can be a firm basis for your study with the potential of been applied even further. Specific contributions of the method(s) discussed are; extensive tool support, the identification of appropriate papers including primary and secondary paper sets and a pre-codification scheme, and the use of a literature study on shared services as an illustrative example to present the proposed approach.
